I dont have central heat and air for years now. I been looking for sometime a good strong heater that works on a 220V shocket.I finally saw this one and bought it.Same size as your typical plug in Electric heaters. The chord to plug into the socket tho is the same as my 24,000 BTU a/c….it\’s a Big thick 10 gauge chord with a 30 am terminal.Anyhow, of you have a 30 amp socket, your good to go. This unit is is waaaaaaaaaaaay Hotter than ANY standard plug in heater. Those at BEST will give you 5,100 BTU, this unit gives you 16,000 BTU\’s. About as much as a kerosene heater.Has your typical controls for a heater, on off, and a thermostat by numbers (1 to 6). I highly recommend this Heater for anyone ho has no central heat or you need heat in your garage or work shed, this is perfect.

Nice little heater. Works well keeping a vacant space warm through the winter. Note that this is a 208/230 volt unit so plan to have the proper circuit available. A little smaller than expected but it\’s still fine.

We\’ve had this heater for several months and use it every night. It\’s used to supplement heat in a 15\’x18\’ bedroom and heats that space up very quickly. I think the \’flame\’ looks quite realistic…just understand that it\’s not a real flame but they did a pretty good job representing a flame. The heat is blown from the bottom of the unit out to the front. The noise level is low, but the fan does stay on throughout the night whether the heat is on or off. But, we have two other Lasko ceramic room heaters and they are definitely louder than this. The thermostat function works very well. Please note, though, that the thermostat is not set by degrees. The first time you turn on the heater, you turn up the thermostat knob to the highest mark then when the room reaches the temperature you want, you turn the knob back until the heating turns off…that becomes your room heat point for the unit. It does work fine once you set it up. The remote turns the unit on and off only – no heat adjustment, but we haven\’t had a need to adjust the heat once we set the thermostat and I like the on/off remote. The unit seems to be constructed well — I\’ve seen different brands like this made of mostly plastic but that\’s not the case with this one. It\’s pretty compact as well so it fits nicely in most spaces. I wouldn\’t expect it to heat a large area (I haven\’t tried though), but I don\’t think it\’s made for that. Overall we\’re very pleased with it so far and hope that it lasts a long time.

I have always wanted a fireplace in my bedroom. At the back of the house, the room get\’s chilly at night and, also, I love the ambiance of a fireplace. My Dimplex Electric Stove arrived two weeks ago. I read the manual, plugged it in, put the battery in the remote and there it was! An instant wood-burning stove. It is so attractive and so easily moved from room to room. Honestly, the flames look real. Even when the stove is turned off, the logs are designed to have a little glow that looks like the dying embers of a fire. There is a very quiet fan underneath that blows out the heat and when I set the temperature control, it\’s just right to take the chill off in the bedroom. I almost didn\’t buy it because of some reviewers who were not happy with the thermostat. Maybe they did not read the manual. You have to turn the temperature control knob all the way to the right, until you hear a soft click. Then you turn it counterclockwise until just the right amount of heat is coming out. It will \”set\” that temperature and keep it there. I\’ve had mine on for 8 hours and it still puts out the same gentle heat. The other thing I LOVE is that the manual says you can turn off the heat and still have the flames and the glowing logs without heating up your room. Awesome because on summer nights where I live, it\’s never cool enough to have a fire in our regular living room fireplace. If I ever want to enjoy the glow of a fire on summer nights, I will be able to click my remote control and have the beautiful glow and atmosphere without heating up the room. I checked out the Dimplex web site before I bought this and was so impressed with how they use the latest innovations to make the flames and glowing logs/embers look real. They really do. The stove itself is so cute. The door really opens. By the way, the unit itself does not get hot. So, there is no danger of burning yourself if you touch it. I am so pleased. When we have guests, I might just put it in the guest room for them to enjoy since it is so easy to move.

This water heater was installed when my home was built in 2004. Since then we have had to replace the thermal coupler 4 times due to a design flaw. The company has given me the run around everytime this has happened. When I first call they always insist it is the gasline and not their product. Then even when a plumber changes out the part and the heater starts working they want you to reinstall the bad part a use a voltmeter to prove the part was bad at which point they will send you a new part, but you have to be willing to go without hot water for up to three days to get them to send it. As soon as we can afford a new water heater I am replacing this one. It has cost me about $300 in repairs so that my family doesn\’t have to go without hot water for days on end.

We have guinea hens and I was tired of carting their metal water can into the house to defrost it twice a day during the winter. I looked into the one piece water fount/heaters, but thanks to an Amazon.com review, I rejected them. The reviewers said they were complicated to refill. I went with this heater that you set the fount on top of. I was worried at first about the label which warned the top got hot. Would it burn the guineas or ignite the straw? Actually the top is barely warm, just enough to keep the water fount from freezing. The cord is a little short, but I use a strong extension cord. Otherwise, worked great.

This will be our fourth winter for using this heater in our chicken coop. It does a great job keeping the water thawed, even during the coldest months.Although the unit does not get hot, for peace of mind I set mine up on a few concrete patio pavers. It helps in preventing too much dirt and straw from getting under the unit itself.

We\’ve experienced a flawless install and operation from our Stiebel Eltron. Unlimited hot water and lower electric bills are the two big positives for this appliance, but I also like that it\’s about the size of a picture frame hanging on the wall and opened up a lot of space in our utility room when we replaced our old tank water heater. Only thing to keep in mind is that this is not a drop in replacement for an existing tank water heater. We had to have an electrician come out and wire up a 60 Amp 6 gauge wire from the breaker box to the water heater for a nominal fee (about $200), other than that the plumbing and mounting was super easy, both of which I did myself in about an hour\’s time (thanks to Gatorbite plumbing fixtures).We are really enjoying the Stiebel Eltron and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for an electric tankless water heater.

I just installed this thing today. I don\’t know yet whether to be happy or annoyed. The so-called \”Owners Guide\” is a total joke . . . mostly taken up with the usual warnings about this, that, and the other thing. Absolutely no instructions about how you specifically install this item, especially since I have a ceiling-mount situation. A visit to the website cleared up their recommended clearance issues, etc, but not much more details. This gizmo is very noisy, and yet, for all the racket, not much heat with not much CFM comes out. I hand-held a typical \”garage\” thermometer about 6\” in front of the heater for a couple of minutes and figured the Outlet Temp to be about 95 degrees, maybe a bit more. Sounds like a bunch, but when you\’re heating up a 500 sq ft garage, it\’s not that impressive. In fact, it took 2 1/2 hours for this heater to increase the temp. from 45 deg. to about 60. Not that great; not for all that noise. I see this \”heater\” as nothing more than a device to keep my water-based paint from freezing in the winter. If you insist on buying this thing, you can get it online for about 140. don\’t pay more.

Great heater but overpriced by more than $100.00 over what I found it for in my local hardware store at $198.00
